Sharing Smiles 2016 - A Success!

Once again our Sharing Smiles event left us smiling! In addition to our staff, we had family members, friends and even some patients come and volunteer with us this last Saturday, March 19. We were able to see over 40 patients and donate over $14,000 worth of dental care to them!  We also collected food and cash donations for the Hartford Food Pantry and we will continue to accept these donations through Tuesday, April 5th. It’s such a wonderful gift to give back and we appreciate the opportunity to do so.

We couldn’t have done it without the help of our volunteers, as well as some other local businesses who have been Sharing Smiles with us for years! Thanks to Perc Place, Sal’s Pizza and The Coffee Trader for providing food and drink to keep our volunteers full of energy and able to keep going! Another thanks goes out to Signworks who has donated the banner and the new lettering each year to maximize the exposure our Sharing Smiles event receives. Lastly, thanks to Wittenberger Bus Service. They donated a bus for us to use so that we can temporarily expand our waiting room and make sure everyone has a warm and dry place to sit while waiting to receive dental treatment.

Sharing and Smiles are two things that we feel pretty strongly about. After all, that’s our mission. During these events we are reminded of how blessed we are. We are so grateful to our staff, our families, our patients and our community for supporting us and giving us the opportunity to be Sharing Smiles with all of you! Thanks!

Sharing Smiles Event!

It's that time of year again! On Saturday, March 19th, we are happy to host our 6th annual Sharing Smiles Event. This is a day of donated dentistry that we provide to community members ages 6 and up, who are in need and without means of getting dental care.

Our staff and team of volunteers are ready to practice our mission of Sharing Smiles all day long by offering free exams, cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, fillings and extractions to patients based upon what their dental needs are. The Sharing Smiles event will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with registration beginning at 7 a.m. There will not be any appointments given and ALL patients will be seen on a first come, first serve basis.

Our volunteer team will also take a lunch break in the middle of the day but will hold the line order for patients still waiting for treatments.

To further our mission of Sharing Smiles, we are hosting a food drive for the Hartford Food Pantry. Please bring in your food or cash donation during our regular business hours in March or during our Sharing Smiles event and be part of helping our community!

And the winner of the Christmas Patient Giveaway is.....

After choosing and meeting with our three finalists, Nadine, Tracy and Sue Ann, we had to sit down and make a tough decision. Who was going to win the Smile Makeover? Dr. Wilk and Dr. Dowden sat down and looked over treatment plans to see how we could improve the smiles of these women. After just a few moments, the answer was clear.

All THREE women will be getting smile makeovers in the New Year! We decided that we could use our gifts to really help these three deserving ladies and so congratulations are in order!

2016 is looking to be a great year for Sharing Smiles!

This year we aren't just Sharing Smiles ... We're GIVING one away!

Do you or someone you know need a new smile for the holidays? This year, we aren’t just Sharing Smiles, we are giving one away! This holiday season, we will choose one lucky person to receive a smile makeover, during our Christmas Patient Giveaway!

Simply nominate yourself or someone you know by filling our our online application and mailing it or dropping it off at the office. You can also join us on Facebook and post your responses to the application to our page. We truly believe in our mission of Sharing Smiles and the power of GIVING BACK. We are beyond excited to hear your stories, meet our finalists and choose ONE deserving individual to receive a SMILE MAKEOVER!

We are taking entries from 11/6/2015 until 12/10/2015. All applications must be received by December 10th, 2015. We will announce three finalists on or around December 12th, 2015 and then we will announce the Grand Prize Winner on or around December 21st, 2015!
